How do I write a good description for my profile? – Zoosk Help

The Story, Perfect Match, and Ideal Date sections of your profile give you an opportunity to describe yourself and who you’re looking for. Before writing, think about what’s important to you, what makes you happy, and why you joined Zoosk.

While writing your descriptions, consider these helpful tips and examples:

Story
Your story is where you can tell people a little bit about yourself. If you’re stuck, try talking about your hobbies, your job, or some of things you like to do on the weekends. Do you like cooking? Are you an adventurous, outdoor person? Do you have kids and a great sense of humor? This is your chance to share a little something about who you are. Be positive and have fun with it!

Here’s an example: I'm not your typical surfer. Sure, I'm laid back and love the outdoors, but I also went to school for architecture and have a thriving business designing high-end office buildings. When I'm not in the water or at the office, I love reading thrillers, hiking, and watching film noir.
Ideal Date
Your Ideal Date description is where you can describe what your idea of a good time is. Would you want to go to a bar or concert or meet up in a park and go for a hike? Try thinking about the things you like to do for fun and if it’s something you’d want to share with someone special.

Here’s an example: Once we've met for the obligatory coffee, let's go to a concert! I want to go enjoy good music with someone who isn’t afraid to sing. Above all else, I'm looking for someone who makes me laugh. And a beautiful smile doesn't hurt either!
Perfect Match
Your Perfect Match description is your chance to let people know what you’re looking for. Are you looking to meet new people because you’re new to the area or do you want a serious relationship? Think about what’s important to you. Maybe it’s a sense of humor, someone who shares your values, or someone who likes the same things you do.

Here’s an example: If you have good energy and like to have fun, then send me a message. You don't have to enjoy all the same things I do, but it'd be great if you were willing to try them out.
