If you’d just like to take a break from online dating, you can hide your profile by pausing your account. Pausing lets you temporarily hide your profile from Zoosk and still keep your profile, connections, and message history for when you come back. Learn how to pause your account.
If you’d like to deactivate your Zoosk account, follow the steps below.
- Cancel your subscription.
In order to deactivate your Zoosk account, first you need to cancel your subscription. If you purchased a subscription using an Apple device or iTunes, Apple requires that you cancel your subscription through the Apple App Store on your Apple device, or through iTunes on your computer. Learn how to cancel your subscription from your Apple device or iTunes. - Wait for the remaining days on your subscription to expire.
Once the automatic renewal of your subscription is turned off, the remaining days on your subscription must expire before your account can be deactivated. If you need to find out what your expiration date is, visit the subscription section of your account settings.
Please Note: After you turn off automatic renewal via Apple/iTunes, the Zoosk iOS app will not reflect the cancellation until your subscription expires. If the iTunes App Subscription page shows that your subscription is turned off, then your subscription will not renew. - Deactivate your account.
Once your subscription has expired, you can log in to Zoosk and deactivate your account. Learn how to deactivate your account.
If you deactivate your account, your profile will not be visible to other members, and you will lose your subscription benefits, if any, without a refund according to our Terms of Use Agreement and your list of connections. If you want to return to Zoosk in the future, you can reactivate your account by logging in to your account using your email address and password. (Also note, that you will not be entitled to any subscription or other benefits you had prior to deactivation.)
